As I dangled over the side of the boat, foot bungeed to the loose rope that had sent me flying, I realised I’d solidified my reputation as the accident-prone backpacker.

That wasn’t the first time I’d found myself in a rather precarious situation on my travels. In fact, it didn’t even scratch the surface.

I travelled halfway around the world, saw the great wonders, immersed myself in every culture, and made just about every mistake along the way.

What I didn’t realise at the time was that all those experiences were preparing me for who I am today – the go-to luxury travel expert for thousands of clients worldwide.
